HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT SCOOTER?
Scooters come in all sizes, brands and makes. When choosing a scooter it is crucial to search for the best scooter that will allow for optimum potential. A good rule of thumb when choosing a scooter is the bar will generally stand from your belly button to where your hands are relaxed in front of you. This is normally subjective to the rider. Size is also another factor when choosing a scooter.
WHAT ARE SOME REPUTABLE BRANDS?
We carry an array of pro scooters. Some reputable brands are Lucky, Fuzion, APEX, PROTO, River Wheel Co., and Hang 5 Gear. There are plenty of brands on the market but we like to stick with what we know.
MY SON OR DAUGHTER WANTS A PRO SCOOTER. I KNOW NOTHING, WHERE DO I START?
We get this question all the time. What we like to tell our customers is it really depends on the age, height of the rider, and budget. We recommend Fuzion Z250, Blazer, and Lucky Crew Completes for riders 5-9. For riders, 10-12 we would recommend Fuzion Z300 or Z350, Lucky Prospect, Ethic Erawan, Root Industries Type R, and Versatyl Completes. For ages 13 and up we recommend completes such as Lucky Prospect XL, Lucky Covenant, Addict 6.1 Revenger, Tilt Theorem Completes, Root Industries RS V2, Fuzion Z350 Boxed and Ethic Large Pandora, Ethic Vulcain 12 STD Complete just to name a few.
WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT PRO SCOOTERS AND WHY ARE PRO SCOOTERS SO EXPENSIVE?
Pro scooters are made for the sport of scootering. These parts and completes are made strong enough to hold the weight of an adult rider and force of the impact from a trick. We only carry reputable brands who honor their warranties and are easy to work with. With that being said, in comparison to other mainstream sports such as baseball, football, tennis, BMX, motor cross, etc., the cost of a complete scooter could be equivalent to a good pair of cleats, a nice bat, etc.
In addition, most skateparks do not allow foldable or adjustable scooter in the park and we couldn’t agree more. You do not want your bar adjusting during mid – trick.
CAN I CUSTOM BUILD A SCOOTER?
Absolutely! You will pick out all 8 parts of the scooter and we will build that for you with no extra charge. Any one of our representatives will walk you through the process and recommend products based on rider size and colors. In scootering color is key. You do not need an appointment to bring your scooter by.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BUILD A CUSTOM SCOOTER?
Our mechanics are extremely skilled and we usually ask for 1 hour or less.
WHAT ARE THE PRICES OF SCOOTERS?
Pre-Built Scooters range from $100 to $400 and custom scooters range from $400-$700.
WHAT SIZE WHEELS SHOULD I GET?
So this really depends on what type of scooter you have and what size wheel your fork will allow. Aftermarket forks are available to allow for bigger wheels if needed. Wheel sizes vary from 100mm to 125mm.
ARE THERE INSTALLATION FEES?
Yes, we do have installation fees generally ranging from $5.00 per item to install. Custom build fees are waived on custom builds.
DO YOU WORK ON ELECTRIC SCOOTERS?
At the moment, we only work on tire repair on electric scooters. We do carry brands such as GO TRAX.
